Varsha Ganesan
Varsha earned her MSc in Molecular Medicine from the University of Sheffield, UK with a research focus on the role of epithelial differentiation in the respiratory tract and using disease models such as in-vitro air liquid interface cultures of primary human airway epithelial cells to study the aspects of pulmonary cell plasticity in the respiratory tract.
She currently manages the Hogan Laboratory to ensure smooth functioning of the lab including mentoring of the undergraduate students while also helping the graduate students and post docs with their projects. Her current research focus is on generating mouse models of food induced anaphylaxis to study the role of genetics on the outcomes of oral food challenge and oral immunotherapy as well as studying the implication of neutrophils during IgE mediated anaphylaxis.
In her free time she enjoys baking, taking long strolls with her husband and two kids. She also loves dogs and is hoping to get one soon!
